Over the years, I developed a passion for crafting dialogue. If you need help making your words in quotes sound real or natural, replacing unnecessary dialogue with necessary dialogue, or outright deleting it (even if you really, really like it), this is my specialty.

As a writer: Published news articles and features (as a reporter for the Journal Inquirer), editorials, essays, award-winning short fiction, and a novel. Two plays produced, and a full-length screenplay earned the Robert L. Carothers Distinguished Writers Award.

As a full-time professional editor: Edited and/or proofread self-help, fiction (to include the literary journal American Fiction), nonfiction, pamphlets, catalogs, and website content.

As a writing instructor: Taught essay writing (Minnesota State University Moorhead, Austin Peay State University), creative writing, screenwriting, and playwriting (Trollwood Performing Arts School).
